Enterprise & Social login is now available on SpacetoCo

Let’s talk about logins

We take security seriously at SpacetoCo. We’re continually looking for ways to make our setup even more secure.

We're taking how we manage identity (i.e. how you log in) to the next level of security protection. This includes:

• Enterprise login - the username, password and other security protections/policies that your council or organisation gives you.
• Social login - using either your social Google or Facebook Account, which also gives you quick and secure access to SpacetoCo.
• Multifactor Authentication for all standard accounts to boost security.

Why are Enterprise logins better? 

It means access to a SpacetoCo account is controlled by the organisation's IT department, rather than relying on team members to provision and take away access. Here is an example:

🚫 Without Enterprise login:

Karen leaves the council bookings team to go work for another local authority. On her last day, she loses access to her council email address and internal systems, but she can still access the SpacetoCo account because this uses a different login.  She will only be removed when another team member remembers/bothers to remove her access from the SpacetoCo platform. 

✅ With Enterprise login:

Karen leaves the council bookings team to go work for another local authority. On her last day, she loses access to her council email address and immediately loses access to SpacetoCo. 

What are the other security benefits of Enterprise & Social login?

🔒 Security: Enterprise login is controlled at the organisation level to protect your organisations applications and data. 

⚙️ Integration: Enterprise login is easily integrated with other applications and services, making it a great choice for organisations with multiple applications and data sources.

🐘 Scalability: Enterprise login can handle the needs of large organizations with many users and applications.

☝️ Single Sign-On: Enterprise login offers a single sign-on feature, allowing employees to access all authorized applications with a single set of login credentials.

✅ Compliance: Enterprise login is compliant with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX, ensuring organisation applications are compliant with relevant regulations. Enterprise accounts are also forced to comply with the organisation internal password policies. 

👍 Better login experience for customers: Social login will allow customers to create their SpacetoCo account using Google & Facebook accounts. This means they don’t need to remember a different password and is a quicker and better sign-up experience.
