Who knew that issuing keys for booking venues could be so tedious? From arranging time for someone to pick up keys, to the ‘do-we-even-trust-this-person-who-isn’t-the-contact-person’ dilemma, to updating the key log. Then after all that, you still need to arrange how the keys need to be returned. I mean, it might just be me, but it can all be a bit much for what could be a simple process. 

If you feel the same about issuing keys, you're in luck! SpacetoCo is now integrated with keyless entry systems so that you and your hirers don't have to go through the tedious day-to-day process of issuing those keys! 

Uh, keyless what?

Keyless entry is a convenient system that removes the need for a physical key to access your venue. You've probably seen different types of keyless entry systems including keypads, fingerprint scans and even using smartphones to unlock doors of buildings.

What's so good about keyless entry?

With physical keys, you have to set up a time to meet a hirer to hand them over the key and talk to them about protocols, etc. You can cut all this time out with a keyless system because everything is automated!

✅ Easier management

A keyless system is a more streamlined process for you and your hirers. They don't have to worry about keeping a key safe and getting it back on time, and you don't have to worry about keeping tabs on all the keys you've handed out! All PIN codes are safely stored on both host and guest dashboards and emails that we send out to guests.

👍 Reliability

Ever had someone call to say they lost the key and can't get in? With keyless systems, no one gets locked out because there's a reliable way to gain access without a key. Also, problems can be sorted out remotely - no need for staff or security to come out inconveniently to let someone in!

🔐 Security

Although there is a similar risk with sharing a physical key or a PIN code, there is a key (hehe get it?) difference with a keyless system in terms of security. A physical key can be copied and shared. In these cases, you'll need to go through the tedious work of changing locks and keys. However, with a keyless system, when a PIN code is shared... sure, there is the worry of sharing it with the wrong person. But unlike a key, access can easily be revoked. Furthermore, only APPROVED bookings will have PIN codes that work - once a booking is cancelled, changed or done, access is revoked immediately.

SpacetoCo is now integrated with keyless entry providers! 

We are working with top Access Control Providers (organisations that enable keyless entry) so that you and your hirers have a seamless experience when it comes to bookings and accessing your spaces. Currently, we are working with Gallagher and SecCloud, so if your venue has software/hardware from these providers, we can easily integrate your SpacetoCo bookings to give hirers PIN codes to access your space.

For example, once you approve a guest's booking on SpacetoCo, we send automated notifications and emails to guests with their unique PIN codes to get into the venue, as well as access details for the booked space and time. Gallagher or SecCloud will handle the actual hardware and software to open/close doors.
