FULL STACK SECURITY SPECIALIST

About the position

This is an opportunity to go on an adventure of scale! Your role will be about filling a skills gap at SpacetoCo for full stack development to relieve some of the backlog of profitable features and capabilities that will translate into income for the business. 

General and Operational Activity:

  • Own a feature all the way to the end - top to bottom
  • Check code from time to time - we have some junior teams and senior teams that will need review
  • Lead a project (and potentially a team) when required

Communication:  

  • The ability to manage projects, epics and tickets in Jira
  • The ability to stretch, but let the team know if you are struggling and need help
  • To be able to select the correct giphy in Slack or the right times to jump into Discord for a chat
  • Occasionally meet with customers in online meetings with the rollout team facilitator (particularly in the area of integrations) to ensure collaborative implementation

Prior experience and training are important from a basic understanding of Nodejs, but to us your prior record of adding value to businesses or organisations you have previously worked with is going to be important too. In fact, with a number of the above responsibilities, we will need to train you through our onboarding process the SpacetoCo way. 

This role is not for the faint-hearted, but more for those who like to work hard and see constant improvements and efficiency.

You will work under our Product Manager who knows all the systems, products, customers, etc, and he will support you with road mapping and translating customer needs into Jira tickets. You will also have the support of the two senior developers on the team as you learn the code base and start to wrangle.  The business is still in its early stages and you will be a foundational member of the team.
