Team SpacetoCo are suckers for a mushy Christmas movie and Love Actually is one of our faves. Given Christmas is just around the corner, we thought we'd take inspiration from the bit at the beginning of the film where Hugh Grant says 'Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport.'
Well for us, whenever we need an energy boost we go and look at the latest booking reasons.
When we see that we've helped a fledgling musician find a space to film their music video or enabled someone to start a new counselling or community group we're reminded of why it is we do what we do.
Because bringing people together in local spaces creates connections that change lives. It's why as soon as early homosapiens worked out how to put stones on top of stones, they built a big communal hut where they would eat, dance, pray, entertain and create together. Kind of just what humans do today in your venues - although maybe wearing a few more clothes :)
