Churches play a central role in our communities through the opportunity to bring people together through their faith. However, they also have a crucial role to play in ensuring families, individuals, charities and organisations have a safe and affordable space locally.

Making church spaces available - either for paid hire or for free has so many benefits for both the church and the community. It's a great way to bring new people into the church, and it can create much needed revenue for projects and repairs. For the community, it can be a welcoming space that helps them start a new group, run a small business or celebrate with friends and family.

Many churches aspire to have their spaces used more by local people. But it's hard to know how to make the spaces more visible, the bookings process can be time consuming and then there is all the finance hassle of managing bonds and payments to deal with.

SpacetoCo worked with churches in Auckland to design a bookings system that is simple, friendly and works for internal, casual and regular users of the church.
